My career has taken me from the world of international finance to classrooms, school leadership and educational consultancy. Along the way, I have had the opportunity to work with major multinational organisations, lead large teams and support smaller, close-knit communities. Each experience has taught me something valuable, but one thing has always stood out. People matter more than numbers. I began my professional journey in business and finance, where I developed a strong foundation in strategy, accountability and leadership. It was a brilliant training ground, but I soon discovered that my real passion was helping people learn, grow and achieve things they once thought impossible. That discovery led me into education, and I have never looked back. Today, I am a fully qualified teacher and school leader, holding a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Management (MEd), alongside qualifications and extensive experience in business and finance. Over the years, I have worn quite a few hats: teacher, Head of School, regional academic leader, safeguarding lead (DSL), mentor, coach and consultant. I have had the privilege of leading schools, supporting educators across different countries and cultures, mentoring aspiring teachers into the profession and helping young people progress from their earliest classroom experiences to some of the world's leading universities and exciting entrepreneurial futures.
And through it all, one thing has never changed. I am, and always will be, an educator at heart.
And through it all, one thing has never changed. I am, and always will be, an educator at heart. I believe learning should build confidence, character and curiosity, not just academic results. Strong schools and organisations are built by people who feel valued, trusted and supported to do their best work. Today, I lead Scolocity, a consultancy focused on leadership, culture and wellbeing. We work with schools, leaders and organisations to develop their people, strengthen relationships and create environments where everyone has the opportunity to grow, succeed and thrive.
My approach is practical, human and shaped by years of experience in classrooms and school leadership. I believe good leadership takes courage, emotional intelligence, empathy, honesty and a healthy sense of humour. Excellence matters, but never at the expense of wellbeing.
Beyond my professional life, I'm also a family man, raising two young children who keep me grounded and remind me every day why education matters so much. The environments we create today shape the people, families and communities of tomorrow.
For me, the work is simple. Help people grow. Help leaders bring out the best in others. Help organisations become places where people can truly thrive.
That's what Scolocity is here to do.
Hi, I am Annie - part educator, part architect of order, and full-time learning enthusiast. I never planned to become the kind of person who gets excited about workflows, academic calendars, and performance metrics, but as the Chief Operating Officer of Scolocity, I found my sweet spot where education meets innovation and strategy meets humanity.
From teaching fifth graders in sunny California to leading international professional development initiatives in London, my journey has been a masterclass in how curiosity, systems thinking, and great strategy can transform organisations.
I have degrees from Oxford, and Santa Clara University. I bring academic depth and detail, alongside operational precision. Additionally, I have successfully coordinated global learning programmes for over 6,000+ employees at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and elevated professional development engagement for international schools, and guided teaching teams to align dual curricula across continents.
I support the engine behind the vision by leading operations and ensuring every project runs with clarity, creativity, and impact. I thrive on turning ideas into action, chaos into structure, and approaches into stories that actually stick.
I fluent in English and Bulgarian, and completely fluent in making learning feel less like a checklist and more like an adventure.
